After a long-awaited re-opening, there’s no holding us back! klpac and The Actors Studio Seni Teater Rakyat in collaboration with the Young Choral Academy present Cabaret Series: Young KL Singers’ Live on Stage! from 27th to 30th August 2020.

Now, the Young KL Singers, have always been known for their showstopping, award-winning ensemble performances. This time around though, the spotlight is on the singers, alone, as they go solo.

During the MCO period, YKLS ran an online competition where its choir members competed for solo in a different category each week. Three winners and a wild card were selected weekly.

Now that live performances are permitted again, the winners can finally take to the stage and show off their vocal prowess in front of an actual audience. The programme is a delightful one with music from major blockbusters and musicals, Disney favourites and other chart-topping hits.

With a stripped-down acoustic set, it will be intimate and casual show so all eyes and ears are on the singers, and, believe me, we have some incredible voices lined up.

Let us celebrate new frontiers and new beginnings, not just for the singers, but for all of us and in the spirit of Merdeka too.
